Rajan Vishal Chosen for Election Commission՚s Zonal Award

About Rajan Vishal: Rajan Vishal is an IAS officer from Himachal Pradesh of batch 2008. He achieved 60th position in IAS exam. He did M. A. Economics from Punjab University, Chandigarh and Master Business Economics (MBE) from University of Delhi, South Campus New Delhi.

As his EO role he had taken various creativities to increase voters participation by arranging awareness campaign and education which had resulted in about 22 per cent increase in voters.

  • Presently Vishal is District Collector of Nagaur.

About his achievement of Zonal Award:

  • Former Jalore Electoral Officer (EO) Rajan Vishal has been chosen for Election Commission՚s Zonal award under the Best Electoral Practices Award-2014.
  • Election Commission has decided to honour him with this award on 10th August, 2015 in New Delhi.
  • He has been chosen for this award for his efforts of creating awareness related to voting awareness in Jalore community of Rajasthan during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
  • His efforts had helped to reach out to remote areas of Jalore community and convinced people especially women to play their role in democracy.
