Ravindra Kalia a noted Hindi writer and journalist passed away in New Delhi after suffering from liver cirrhosis at the age of 78 years. He was become well-known for his works like Ghalib Chutti Sharab and Nau Saal Chotti Patni. He had also worked as Director of Bharatiya Jnanpith.

He was born on November 11, 1938 in Jalandhar, Punjab. He has panned many, novels, memoirs and sarcasm.
