Seven Asian countries, including South Korea, Philippines, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, India and hosts Laos participated in tournament played over two days.

The winner of this tournament will secure a spot in Asian Rugby Women՚s Sevens Series, which will feature three legs and will be played between September 1 and October 14,2017.
The seven teams that participated in this tournament played on a Round Robin basis.
