Women’s single title - Olympic bronze medallist, Saina Nehwal of India won the All England badminton championships held in England. She defeatedBellaetrix Manuputty of Indonesia by score 21-8 21-12.

Men’s single title - Prannoy eked won All England badminton championships held in England and he defeated Brice Leverdez of France by score 16-21 21-8 21-18.

World No. 3 Saina will next take on Korean qualifier Kim Hyo Min, while Prannoy faces England’s Rajiv Ouseph in the second round.

Men’s doubles - Manu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy won All England badminton championships held in England and they defeated Chinese duo of Chai Biao and Hong Wei.

Women’s singles - 2010 Commonwealth Games gold medal winning pair of Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponappa also reached the second round of women’s doubles competition.
