Sela Tunnel Project in Arunachal Pradesh will be costing Rs. 687 crore- constructed by Border Roads Organization (BRO) would be completed in next three years. It covers total distance of 12.04 kms which consist of two tunnels of 1790 & 475 meters.

  • Sela pass tunnel will be constructed by Border Roads Organization (BRO)

  • The announcement of project was done in Union Budget 2018 by then Finance Minister.

  • Project costs Rs. 687 crore & is expected to be completed in three years.

  • The project once completed will reduce travelling time from Tezpur to Tawang by more than one hour.

  • Project will also aid travelers in by-passing dangerous snow-covered Sela top at height of 13,700 feet.
