  • Govt will under -write loans given by NBFCs to enable better access to credit for small enterprises
  • Govt has asked banks to raise credit limit for small industry from 20 % of turnover to 25 %
  • Banks have been asked to increase working capital loans from 20 % of turnover to 30 % for enterprises that transact digitally
  • Govt to double mudra allocations, giving priority to Dalits, Tribals, Backward Classes & Women

Major boost to agriculture

  • Farmers who have taken loans for Rabi crop exempted from interest for 60 days.
  • Government adds ₹ 20,000 crore to NABARD fund to ensure cheap credit to farmers
  • 3 crore Kisan Credit Cards will be upgraded to Rupay debit cards

Housing comes within reach for poor & middle class

  • In urban areas, loans of up to ₹ 9 lakh will receive interest subvention of 4 % & loans of up to ₹ 12 lakh taken will receive interest subvention of 3 % under PMAY
  • Rural houses under PMAY increased by 33 %
  • In rural areas, loans of up to ₹ 2 lakh taken for new housing or extension will receive interest subvention of 3 %
