Connecting every village

  • 72,835 km of rural roads constructed in 2014 - 16

  • Allocation Increased from Rs. 14,200 Cr to Rs. 19,000 Cr

  • 2.23 lakh km of roads to be constructed to connect 65,000 habitations

  • Program completion target advanced from 2022 to 2019

  • Road length construction increased from 73.5 km to of 100 km per day
