Tata Sons appointed Natarajan Chandrasekaran as its Executive Chairman. With this appointment, Chandrasekaran becomes the first non-Parsi person to head Tata group. He will take charge of the company on 21 February 2017. In absence of Cyrus Mistry, Ratan Tata was looking after the company as the interim chairman.

About Natarajan Chandrasekaran

  • Born: 1963 Mohanur, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu, India
  • Chandra has spent his career in TCS, joining the company in 1987.
  • Under his leadership TCS has generated consolidated revenues of US $16.5 billion in 2015 - 16.
  • On October 25, 2016 N. Chandrasekaran, CEO & Managing Director of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), was appointed as Additional Director on the Tata Sons Board.
  • On January 12, 2017 he was appointed as the Chairman of the Tata Sons.
