Telangana government launched Kakatiya Hub for Social Innovation in Nizamabad. It will function like a rural incubator to encourage entrepreneurship at grassroots level. Rural entrepreneurs need structured guidance and an incubator is best way of providing a necessary ecosystem and support to them.

  • In a bid to encourage entrepreneurship at grassroots level, government has launched India’s first social innovation hub.
  • The Kakatiya Hub is funded by Telangana government.
  • Kakatiya Hub will be run through Kakatiya Sandbox, Deshpande Foundation’s centre that promotes entrepreneurship and innovation.
  • There are a large number of problems to be solved in rural areas, and people who are familiar with them should be in the best position to solve the problems.
