World Pneumonia Day highlights the severity of pneumonia encouraging organizations to combat the disease especially through public knowledge. This day was first hosted in 2009 when over 100 organisations joined to form the Global Coalition against Child Pneumonia, since then it is marked every year on November 12 to:

  • Raise awareness about pneumonia, the world is leading killer of children under the age of five.
  • Promote interventions to protect from, prevent and treat pneumonia.
  • Generate action to combat pneumonia.

Pneumonia Severity

  • Leading infectious killer of children under 5 years old worldwide.
  • 920,000 children die every from this infectious disease.
  • Pneumonia is a killer disease even with proven methods for prevention and treatment.

Home Remedy For Pneumonia

  • In the early stages, best treatment is to have fenugreek seeds tea.
  • Steeped sesame seeds in water with honey and linseed.
  • Carrot juice with beet and cucumber juices or spinach juice.
  • Turpentine oil rubbed over the patient’s rib cage.
  • Juice of 5 to 6 Holy Basil leaves with black pepper.
