China has launched world’s first train which will run on the virtual track by using sensor technology. The train has rubber wheels and plastic core. This train is developed on new technology which has been copyrighted by China Rail Corporation.

Key Facts:

  • The new trains are pollution free because it runs on battery power.
  • The train has 70 kmph speed and it can travel 25 km by just 10 minutes charging.
  • The train is 32 metres long and have capacity of carrying 307 passengers.
  • The train contains sensors which detects the dimensions of the road on which it have to run.
  • The train will run without the presence of tracks and will be automatically guided without rails.
  • The train will be unlived for public use from 2018, at primary phase in Zhuzhou, China to meet the major problem of traffic.
  • The life of this track less train is expected around 25 years.
  • The new train is created at fifth of the cost of traditional subway system.
