National Knowledge Network (NKN) is a state-of-art network to promote collaboration & exchange of knowledge among educational & research institutions.
👌Some of NKN enabled applications are: virtual Class Rooms, Collaborative research groups over NKN (closed user groups) , NDL, NPTEL, various Grids (like Cancer Grid) etc.
As on October, 2018,1672 Edge links to Institutions have been commissioned & made operational under NKN across country which includes 388 links migrated from NMEICT to NKN.

In order to utilize & harness benefits of Cloud Computing, this initiative aims to accelerate delivery of e-services in country while optimizing ICT spending of Govt.

👌eSign Electronic Signature Service is an innovative initiative for allowing easy, efficient, & secure signing of electronic documents by authenticating signer using e-KYC services.
5 e-Sign providers have been on-boarded & more than 5.89 cr. e-Signs have been issued.

DigiLocker: It is now possible to eliminate need to carry any paper to avail a govt. service.
👌eVisa: Services of e-Visa involves complete online application for which no facilitation is required by any intermediary⟋agents etc. E-Tourist Visa has been introduced for tourists coming from 163 countries at 24 airports & at 5 Sea Ports.
