Youngest Former PM of Czech Republic Stanislav Gross passes away on 16 April 2015 in the age of 45 years. Stanislav Gross was was elected in July 2004 at the age of 34. From 2004 to 2005, He had led the Social Democrat government as PM for one year. Earlier, he had served as interior minister from 2000 to 2004 in two governments, including under Milos Zeman, who is now president of Czech Republic.
In 1989, Stanislav Gross had joined the Social Democratic party (SDP) and was elected for first time to Czech Republic’s parliament in 1992.
Stanislav Gross was born on 30 October 1969 in Prague, Czechoslovakia. After the Velvet Revolution in 1989, he became a member of the Social Democratic party and in 1992 member of the parliament.
Stanislav Gross was named interior minister in the government of Milos Zeman on On 5 April 2000.
Gross continued as interior minister and became deputy prime minister in the government of Vladimir Spidla after elections in 2002.
