ISRO launched a special programme called “Young Scientist Programme” for school children from this year aimed to transmit basic knowledge on Space Technology, Space Science and Space Applications to the youngers with the intent of arousing their interest in the areas of Space Activities.

About the Programme

  • “YUva VIgyani KAryakram” (युिवका)
  • Training programme duration - 2 weeks during summer holidays
  • 3 students from each State/Union Territory will be selected to participate covering state, CBSE & ICSE syllabus
  • Eligible Students: Just finished 9th std. in the academic year 2018 - 19 &

    want to join 10th std.

    Started 10th Std. just now.

  • Selection is based on 8th std. marks & academic performance & extracurricular activities
  • Students can register online from 25th March 2019 to 3rd April 2019
  • Special weightage to students belonging to rural area in selection criteria
  • List of previously selected candidates will be announced on 6th April 2019
  • Programme is planned at 4 centres of ISRO during 2nd half of May 2019
