History

Environment Minister of Basic countries will meet in New Delhi to discuss about some issue relating to current united nations framework convention on climate change negotiations.

The 18th Basic Ministerial Meeting will be held on 7 to 8 August, 2014 at new Delhi. This meeting is attended by H. E Mr. Prakash Javadekar, Minister of State of environment, Forests, H. E. Ms. Edna Molewa, H. E Dr. Francisco Gaetani, Minister of Brazil.

All are noted that considerable progress has been achieved by their countries and reducing poverty. Two days meeting will discuss important issues relating to the current United Nations framework convention on Climate change negotiations.

Participants

Brazil, South Africa, India and China all countries are participants in this meeting. During the meeting the group is expected to reach out to other key developing country blocks in order to find common grounds.

The group is also expected to jointly showcase the climate controlling actions each is taking domestically.
