The management wishes to close down the plant temporarily and can reduce the fixed overheads during the 4 month period to ₹ 7,000. The fixed overheads are incurred at a uniform rate throughout the year. In case the plant is shut down, an additional cost of ₹ 15,000 is estimated during this period of 4 months.
