    1. What are the bases on which overhead costs are classified in cost accounting?
    2. An expenditure of ₹ 1,94, 000 has been incurred on a contract to the end of 31st March, 1993. The value of work certified is ₹ 2,20, 000. The cost of work done but not yer certified is ₹ 6,000. It is estimated that the contract ill be completed by 30thJune, 1993 and an additional expenditure of ₹ 40,000 ill have to be incurred to complete the contract. The total estimated expenditure on the contract is to include a provision of 2 per cent for contingencies. The contract price is ₹ 2,80, 000 and ₹ 2,00, 000 has been realised in cash upto 31st March. 1993 Calculate the proportion of profit that may be credited to Profit
    • Loss Account as on 31st March, 1993 under different methods.
  3. Answer the following questions

  4. State the assumptions about people on which classical and neoclassical theories of organisation are based and explain the limitations of the neo-classical theory in the context of modern approach to organisation.

  2. Discuss the structure of trade unions in India and examine its effects on trade union functioning.
  3. Argue the case for workers participation in management and explain why it has not made much headway in India.
  4. Critically review the machinery set up under the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, for settlement of industrial disputes in India. Is it conducive for promoting industrial peace?
