IAS Mains Exam 2017 to Be Held from 28 October to 3 November [ IAS Updates ]

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the exam schedule of Civil Services Mains 2017. The papers of IAS Mains 2017 will be conducted over a week, starting from 28 October to 3 November.

IAS Mains Exam 2017 to be held from 28 October to 3 November
  • Candidates, who had successfully cleared the Prelims exam 2017, are eligible for IAS Mains Exam 2017.
  • All the exams will be conducted for 3 hours duration in the morning session and afternoon sessions:

1. Forenoon Session: 9am to 12 noon

2. Afternoon Session: 2pm to 5pm

Exam Time Table:

  • First paper is to be conducted the Essay paper scheduled in the first half of Saturday, 28 October from 9am to noon.
  • No paper is concluded on 29 October as it is a Sunday.
  • 4 general studies papers will be conducted on 30 and 31 October in four shifts
  1. Morning session will be from 9am to noon,
  2. Afternoon session will last 2 to 5pm.
  • Language papers will be conducted on 1 November
  1. Indian languages paper scheduled for the morning session.
  2. English paper is scheduled for the afternoon session.
  • No paper is scheduled for 2 November.
  • Two optional papers are scheduled on 3 November.
