UPSC Civil Services (IAS) 2019 – Notification & Application Form Released on 19th February 2019

Indian Administrative Service (IAS) was formerly known as Imperial Civil Service (ICS) is Civil Services Examination and one of toughest competitive exams in India. It is conducted by UPSC for recruitment of officers for All India Administrative Civil Service.

Founded: 1858 (as Imperial Civil Service) January 26,1950 (as Indian Administrative Service)

UPSC conducts Civil Services Examination (CSE) to shortlist candidates for more than 20 services, such as IAS, IPS and IFS. Selection of candidates will be made through preliminary exam, main examination and interview⟋personality test. This year-long selection process will begin in the month of June and conclude in April. The final merit list for CSE will be released in May.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released notification for UPSC Civil Services Main Examination 2019. Civil Services exam, known as UPSC IAS 2019 or CSAT 2019, consist of Preliminary and Main stages. The candidates needed to apply separately for both stages.

The online registration for IAS 2019 Prelims can be filled up to 18th March, 2019 till 6.00 pm. The Exam is scheduled to be conducted from second June, 2019.

  • Before Apply candidate must read all instructions in the notification which available in the above table.
  • Keep necessary details of one Photo ID Card viz. Aadhaar Card⟋Voter Card⟋PANCard⟋Passport⟋Driving Licence⟋Any other Photo ID Card issued by State⟋Central Govt. while filling up the online application form.
  • Candidates will have to upload a scanned copy of photo ID Card in online application form
  • Check and confirm your details before hitting Submit button.
  • Once All details confirmed, Submit and Take printout of your Application

IAS Exam Pattern

  • IAS Exam 2019 consists of 3 stages namely, Preliminary, Main and Personal Interview. Each exam has different pattern and different number questions.
  • Preliminary exam in IAS Exam 2019 is screening test to shortlist candidates for further selection process.
  • Those who qualify Prelims are required to re-register for IAS Mains 2019 which is qualifying in nature.
  • Further, selected candidates will appear for personal interview session.
