Important Dates for IES-2016

  • Notification will be available from 27th February 2016.
  • Last Date for Registration up to 11: 59 PM on 25th March 2016.
  • Exam will be start from 27th May 2016.
  • Exam will be of 3 Days.

IES-2016 Eligibility criteria

  • Nationality of candidates must be Indian, Nepali or from Bhutan.

Education Qualification:

  • B. Tech/B. E Engineers (India) OR
  • Obtained a degree/diploma in Engineering from such foreign University/College/Institution and under such conditions as may be recognized by the Government for the purpose from time to time, OR
  • Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India) OR
  • Passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India OR
  • Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London held after November, 1959.

Age Limitation:

  • Interested candidates must have age between 21 - 30 years.
  • Note: Age limit will be extended as per Indian Government rules it will declared with Notifications.

Examination Fees for IES-2016

  • ₹ 200 for General/OBC.
  • No Fees for SC, ST, PH and female candidates.
  • Candidates can pay their fees though:

Online Payment: By Card, Debit Card and Internet Banking.

Offline Payment: By E-Challan in any branch of SBI.

How to apply for IES-2016

  • First step is to scan their photograph and signature.
  • Login in UPSC website www.upsconline. nic. in
  • Fill up application form with all necessary basic details.
  • Check the all details carefully and press submit button.
  • After successful submission the registration number will generated kindly note that number for edit applications details further.
  • Get the printout of the online challan and pay the fee to your nearest SBI bank.
  • Now visit the web portal again to finish the process.
  • Fill the challan number and registration number and press enter.
  • Note: ⚹ fields are compulsory to fill.
