Eligibility for IFS
The Candidates must have crossed the age level of 21 years but not have completed 30 years, as on the first day of July of that year in which examination will going to be conducted.
However, The upper age limit has some flexibility with respect of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes and also some different categories of persons from time to time, as per the notifications of the Government of India to the extent and subject to the conditions notified in respect of each category.
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree with one of the subjects like-Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering of a well reputed University.
Candidates must be fit and must have desirable physical stamina, endurance and keen interest in nature conservation as well as animal protection. They must also have a hardy disposition for working in even undesirable conditions, crusading spirit and outstanding observational skil.
