Registration of IFS Prelims 2017 End on 17th March, 2017 [ IFS Updates ]

IFS (Indian Forest Service) Prelims 2017 registration has been start from 22nd February and last date of filling application form will be 17th March, 2017. The exam will be held on 18th June 2017. Exam will be conducted by UPSC.

Applicant shall be issued an e-admission certificate 3 weeks before the commencement of the examination and will be available on the official website.

Exam Pattern for IFS Prelims 2017:

Paper: 1 (Duration 2 hours, Marks: 200)

  • Current events of national and international importance
  • History of India and Indian National Movement
  • India and World Geography- Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and world.
  • Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.
  • Economic and Social Development – Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives etc.
  • General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate change- that do not require subject specialization.
  • General Science

Paper: 2 (Duration 2 hours, Marks: 200)

  • Comprehensive
  • Interpersonal Skills including communication skills
  • Logical Reasoning and analytical ability
  • Decision making and problem solving
  • General mental ability
  • Basic numeracy
