The Union Public Service Commission will conduct Combined Geo-Scientist, Geologist Exam 2017 on 12th June 2017. Interested aspirant can register them self from 8th February 2017 onwards till 3rd March 2017.

Geo-Scientist, Geologist Vacancy 2017

  • Geologist, Group A: 121
  • Geophysicist, Group A: 56
  • Chemist, Group A: 29
  • Junior Hydrogeologists (Scientist B), Group A: 02

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate must be citizen of India, Bhutan or Nepal

Age limit

  • Age must be minimum 21 to maximum 35 years.
  • For Junior Hydrogeologists : 21 to 32 years

Note: age relaxation will be provided according to government norms.

Educational Qualification

 Geologists Grade A Post:

  • Master’s Degree in Geological Science / Geology / Geo-Exploration / Mineral Exploration / Engineering Geology / Marine Geology / Earth Science and Resource management / Oceanography and Coastal Areas Studies / Petroleum Geosciences or Petroleum Exploration / Geochemistry / Geological Technology from

Geophysicists Positions:

  • M.Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics or Geophysics or Integrated Exploration Geophysics or Applied Geophysics or Marine Geophysics or Tech. or Applied Geophysics with good academic records.

The Post of Chemists:

  • M. Sc. in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry Degree from reputed institution.

Junior Hydrogeologists (Scientist-B):

  • Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or marine Geology from re-known institute.

Application Fees

  • Candidates need to submit Rs. 200/- as application fee through net banking of SBI and its associate banks or by any Master/Visa Credit/Debit Cards or by paying Cash at any SBI branch.
  • Female, SC, ST and Physically Handicapped candidates are exempted from examination fee.
