UPSC Combined Geoscientist and Geologist 2018 notification will be released on 21st March 2018 & Exam will be held on 29th June 2018. This Exam is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). This exam recruits for Geophysicist, Geologist, and Chemist in the Geological Survey of the country and Junior Hydrologist for the central group Water Board.

Education Qualification Criteria:

  • Geologists Grade A Post: Master’s Degree in Geological Science/Geology/Geo-Exploration/Mineral Exploration/Engineering Geology/Marine Geology/Earth Science and Resource management/Oceanography and Coastal Areas Studies/Petroleum Geosciences or Petroleum Exploration/Geochemistry/Geological Technology
  • Geophysicists Positions: M. Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics or Geophysics or Integrated Exploration Geophysics or Applied Geophysics or Marine Geophysics or Tech. or Applied Geophysics with good academic records.
  • The Post of Chemists: M. Sc. in Chemistry or Applied Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry Degree from reputed institution.
  • Junior Hydrogeologists (Scientist-B) : Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or marine Geology from re-known institute.
