ISI Exam Pattern 2022

Pattern

Part 1

  • The part 1 of ISI admission test 2020 will consist of MCQ or Descriptive questions from Mathematics of UG level. This part will be mandatory for all the candidates.
  • This part will carry 30 marks and candidates will be required to attempt the questions within 2 hours.

Part 2

  • The part 2 of ISI 2020 will consist of MCQ or Descriptive questions.
  • Part 2 will be categorized into 5 sections having questions from Computer Science, Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Drawing, Thermodynamics, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Engineering and Technology.

In Details

  • ISI Admission Test consists of 2 parts.
  • Section A of the test contains multiple-choice questions in Mathematics and logical reasoning. The questions are at the undergraduate level.
  • Section B of the test contains descriptive, short answer questions from Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, and Engineering & Technology.
  • Candidates have to get qualifying marks in both the sections.
  • The duration of the time needed to finish each section is 2 hours.
  • The first section is of 30 marks, whereas the second section is of 70 marks.
  • Candidates who are applying for admission into MTech in Quality, Operations & Reliability will find two parts in section B.
  • The first part is for candidates who are from statistics/Maths stream. The second part is for candidates who are from the engineering stream.
  • Candidates who are applying for admission into MTech in CS will find five parts in Section B.
  • Candidates have to attempt only one section out of the 5 sections: Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science and Engineering & Technology.
