National Defence Academy & Naval Academy commonly referred as NDA is national level entrance exam conducted by UPSC for 10 + 2/HSC candidates who wish to pursue their career as commissioned officers in Army, Navy, Air Force & Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC)

  • NDA is conducted twice a year in April & September. Candidates who are min. of 16.5 years of age & have passed or studying in 10 + 2/HSC are eligible to appear for NDA.

  • NDA is conducted twice a year in April & September. Candidates who are min. of 16.5 years of age & have passed or studying in 10 + 2/HSC are eligible to appear for NDA.
  • Selected candidates for 3 services - Army, Navy & Air Force will be given preliminary training both academic & physical for period of 3 years at National Defence Academy located at Khadakwasla. Training of 1st 2.5 years is common to cadets of 3 wings.
  • UPSC has released result of NDA II 2018 on 30th Nov. , 2018. Candidates who had appeared for exam on 9th Sept. can check & download result in pdf file from official website. Result of NDA II comprises of roll numbers of candidates selected for SSB Interview.
  • Candidates can check NDA II 2018 result at http: ⁄ ⁄ www.upsc. gov. in/exams-related-info/written-result
  • Based on NDA II result analysis, total of 6931 candidates are shortlisted for next round of selection process which is personality cum psychometric tests & intelligence interview.
  • All qualified candidates are advised to register themselves online on Indian Army Recruiting website joinindianarmy. nic. in within 2 weeks for their SSB.
  • Based on registration made by candidates they will be allotted Selection Centres & dates for SSB interview.
  • After SSB round, authority will publish final results stating names of candidates selected in NDA II 2018.
  • Unmarried Male candidates, who are not born before 2nd Jan. , 1999 & not after 1st Jan. , 2002 can apply at upsc. gov. in.
  • SSB Interview screens candidates for Army, Navy & Air Force wings of NDA for 142nd course & 104th of NA Course.
  • Approx. number of vacancies will be as under:
  1. NDA: 339 (208 for Army, 39 for Navy & 92 for Air Force)
  2. NA (10 + 2 Cadet Entry Scheme) : 44

Components of NDA Result 2018

  • Publication of NDA- II Written Examination Result: UPSC will prepare list of candidates who have obtained min. qualifying marks in written examination as decided by Commission. Roll number of candidates will be mentioned in result sheets who have qualified for SSB Interview.
  • Services Selection Board (SSB) Interview: Candidate will have to undergo 5-day interview procedure at allotted SSB centers. Date, time & venue for SSB interview will be intimated to candidates thru call letter.
  • Medical Screening: Once interview is complete, candidates will be sent to for complete medical examination at command hospitals.
  • Final Merit List: Marks obtained in 3 stages viz. written examination, SSB Interview, and Medical Screening will be considered while preparing the final NDA Result 2018 which is expected to be declared by UPSC in the month of February 2018.

  • Click on link, a pdf file will open
  • Press Ctrl + F & type in your roll number or name.

NDA Cutoff 2018

  • NDA Cut off 2018 will be declared by examination authority UPSC after declaration of final result.

Applicability of NDA Cut off

  • NDA cutoff will be applied in following stages:
  • Min. Qualifying Standard approved at written stage (out of 900 marks)
  • Marks secured by last finally recommended candidate (out of 1800 marks)

NDA Cut off will depend on following factors:

  • Number of vacancies
  • Number of candidates appeared for the exam
  • Level of difficulty
  • The level of competition
