- NEET-PG is a qualifying-cum-ranking examination notified under the provisions of Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations, 2000 by the Medical Council of India with prior approval of Government of India. As per the Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations, âThere shall be a single eligibility cum entrance examination namely âNational Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for admission to Postgraduate Medical Coursesâ in each academic yearâ
- Applicant should bear in mind that appearance in NEET-PG test does not confirm his admission to a Post graduate MDâMSâPost Diploma seat. The rights of selection and admission to Postgraduate seats in any medical institutions recognized for running MDâMSâPost Graduate Diploma courses purely and fully lie in the hands of the respective universities, medical institutions, Medical Council of India, StateâCentral Government. However the criteria for selection and admission will be to fulfill the admission criteria, eligibility, medical fitness and such criteria as may be prescribed by the authorities.
- Online Registration and Scheduling for the examination must be completed latest by 12th November 2012 (by 23: 59hrs) .
- All reliable and correct information is to be provided by the candidate. He may not be able to appear for any other exam conducted by NBEâMoHFWâOther Institutions in case he enters and false information at the time of registeration.
- All the information and details for eligibility criteria, scheme, pattern of examination etc are given in the bulletin. Students are required to go through it thoroughly before contacting the NBE for any queries. Queries pertaining to eligibility and other issues will only be entertained if the information requested is not given in bulletin or on nbe. edu.in.
- Incomplete applications or applications not filled as per the instructions given will not be entertained and is liable to be rejected.In such cases, the examination fee will not be refunded.
- Examination fees once accepted and given will not be refunded in any case. Neither will it be carried forward to a future date. Online applications andâor their acknowledgment of submission received after the due date will not be entertained as a reason to refund the fees. Application once submitted cannot be withdrawn.
- Instructions mentioned herein can change any time according to the decisions taken by the NBE. There is no equity or any rights that areâor deemed to be arising in favor of candidate.
- NBE has its right to refuse any candidate to appear in the exam even though the admit cardâroll number has been issued or nameâroll number is displayed on the website of the Board.
- Candidates Ⲡeligibility is purely provisional & is subject to the fulfillment of eligibility criteria as prescribed by the NBEâMCIâUniversityâMedical College or Institute.
- The existing schedule, pattern, policy and guidelines are for ready reference but they may be changed as and when required by the NBE without any acknowledgement to anyone.
- In case any confusion is caused by any of the instructionsâtermsârulesâcriteria regarding the determination of eligibilityâconduct of examinationsâregistration of candidatesâinformation contained herein, the interpretation of the National Board of Examinations will be final and binding.
- Any requests regarding shifting of dates on future date or change of examination centre will not be entertained. Hence students are requested not to send any quesries regarding the same.
- Absentees from the examination will forfeit their examination fee.
- Result for NEET shall be available on the website by 31st Jan 2013.
- Students have to carry their original as well as photocopy (to be retained by test centre) of their permanent or provisional MCIâState Medical Council registration certificate bearing their photograph along with the printed admit card with attested photo attached. The original MCIâSMC registration should contain a photo and be valid.In case this is not present, an additional photo ID will need to be presented. Approved list of photo IDs include:
- Passport or
- PAN Card or
- Voters ⲠID card or
- Driving License or
- Aadhar Card or
- Kindly note that the above document has to be VALID i.e. ⌠Has not expired; No Photocopies of the above IDs will be permitted. Candidates outside of India who do not possess their SMCâMCI registration should bring their original screening test pass certificate issued on the NBE letterhead. Note: Candidates would not be allowed to enter the exam hall without their Admit Card or valid identification as mentioned above. The examination test centre staff on duty has rights to check and verify the identity of candidates. Required cooperation is expected from the candidates.
- Candidates should ensure before applying for the registration that their MBBS degree is recognized as per provisions of Indian Medical Council Act. If it is found at any time that MBBS degree is not recognized, the candidatureâresult shall be cancelledâdeemed to be cancelled.
- All the correspondence should preferably be addressed by e-mail. The e-mail query shall be enttertained and replied to only if it is has a valid email id and is not anonymous and contains the name, postal address and contact telephone number of the sender. Vague or general queries that are contained in the Information Bulletin shall not be answered. The queries from representatives of the candidates will not be entertained. The following information shall not be revealed by phone or email:
- Internal documentationâstatus.
- Internal Decision making process of National Board of Examinations.
- Any claimâcounter claim thereof.
- Dates & venue of internal meetings or name of the staffâofficers dealing.
- Any information which in the opinion of NBE cannot be revealed.
