AIPMT 2016 Eligibility Criteria

There is “No Attempt” limit in AIPMT exam.

  • The candidate must be the citizen of India or Overseas citizen.
  • The candidates must have completed the age of 17 years as on or before 31st December of the year of Admission.
  • The upper age limit is 25 years (5 years relaxation for the SC/ST/OBC candidates).
  • The candidates belong to J&K, AP and Telangana are eligible to appear the exam only for the admission to the AFMC, Pune on the basis of self declaration.
  • Candidates must have completed/appearing his/her 10th and 12thfrom the state.
  • Candidate must possess a valid domicile of the state.
  • Candidate should possess a residency proof of the state.
  • The candidates must have passed the 10 + 2 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology with English.
  • The minimum percentage for general category is 50%, for SC/ST/OBC is 40%, for general PH is 45% and for SC/ST/OBC handicapped is 40%.
  • Marks obtained in math shall not be considered for admission to MBBS/BDS courses.

AIPMT 2016 Exam Pattern

  • The AIPMT exam will be conducted through offline process.
  • Duration of the exam : 3 hours (10: 00 AM to 01: 00 PM).
  • Question Paper type: Multiple choices (Objectives)
  • The examination will be held in two language English and Hindi.

There is an option for the candidates whether they write the exam in English or in Hindi.

Dress Code for AIPMT 2016

  • Candidates have to wear light half sleeves clothes not having big buttons, brooch/badge, flower etc. with Salwar/Trouser.
  • Candidates have to wear Slippers not shoes.

AIPMT 2016 Exam Rules

Following things are not allowed to carry at examination hall:

  • Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, Geometry/Pencil Box, Plastic, Pouch, Calculator, Pen, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Eraser, Calculator, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanners etc.
  • Any communication device like mobile phones, digital watches, Bluetooth, ear phone, Microphone, pager, health band etc.
  • Other barred items include wallet googles, handbags, hair pin, hair band, belt, cap, scarf, charm/tabeez etc.
  • Any metallic item.
  • Any Watch or camera.
  • Any other item that can be used for unfair means.
