NTA UGC-NET Objective Pattern 2012 Onwards
- The NTA (UGC) -NET will be organised in objective mode from June-December 2022. The Test will comprise of three papers which will consist of only objective type questions i.e.. . MCQs and will be conducted on the desired day of Examination in two different sessions as under:
Paper Number of Questions Marks Duration I 50 of 50 questions are to be attempted-all are compulsory 50 × 2 = 100 1 Hours II 100 questions all of which are compulsory 100 × 2 = 200 2 Hours - The candidates need to attain minimum desired marks individually in Paper-I, Paper-II which are quoted below:
Category Minimum marks (%) to be obtained Paper-I Minimum marks (%) to be obtained Paper-II General 40 (40 %) 80 (40 %) OBC 35 (35 %) 70 (35 %) PH/VH/SC/ST 35 (35 %) 70 (35 %) Those candidates who attain the minimum desired marks in each of the Paper individually as mentioned above will be considered for final preparation of result.
Also, the final qualifying criteria for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and eligibility for Lectureship shall be decided by UGC before declaration of result.
- The syllabus of Paper-I, Paper-II will be different.
- The candidates are not restricted to carry the carbon printout of OMR Response Sheets with them on conclusion of the examination.
- No negative marking will be there in the paper.
