The SAT test measures a student's process of thought, his way of maintaining himself in adverse situations and resolving the problems and getting out of it. Thus it is a practical opinion based exam which will help reassure the authorities that the student has all the skills required to pursue bachelor level study program.

SAT is to be compulsorily given if you want to secure admission in any undergraduate program of any college of USA. This test is developed, managed and administered by College Entrance Examination Board which is based in USA. SAT question paper is prepared and evaluated by the Educational Testing Service. The duration of the test is of approximate 4 hours. There are two types of SAT tests namely, SAT Reasoning Test and SAT Subject Tests.

SAT Subject Test Format

  • SAT examination is conducted to test the knowledge of the candidate in five areas: English, History and Social Studies, Mathematics, Science, and Languages.
  • A college may require clearance of one or more admission tests for the purpose of admission and placement. SAT test is of objective type.
  • However, certain questions in some subjects are asked in a unique pattern.

SAT Eligibility Criteria

The candidate who has completed 12 years of schooling successfully is only eligible to take this test.

SAT Test Fees

  • SAT Reasoning Test will cost $43.
  • This test will include Writing, Grammar, usage, and word choice (multiple choice and student written essay)
  • SAT Subject Tests fees will be $20
  • Basic registration fee: Additional $20
  • This test will include Language Tests with Listening (add to basic registration fee) All other Subject Tests (add per test to basic registration fee) add $8
