Customs & Practices

  • Lived in groups as Tribes – had leaders
  • Women: Agricultural work - prepare ground, sow seeds etc. ; thresh, husk, and grind grain
  • Children: Look after plants, drive away animals.
  • Men: Led large herds of animals in search of pasture.
  • Children: Led small flocks
  • Men & Women: Cleaning of animals and milking, making pots, baskets, tools and huts

Mehrgarh

  • Learnt to grew barley & wheat & rear sheep and goat for 1st time in this area
  • Bones of deer, pig, sheep, goat & cattle
