Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Combined Graduate Level (CGL) 2017 and whose exam was proposed to be scheduled on from August 1 to August 20. This exam conducted to fill up various categories of posts in various ministries/departments/organisations in the government.

  • But, the commission has postponed the date of the CGL tier-1 exam from August 1 to August 5 this year.
  • Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2017 from 5th August, 2017 to 24th August, 2017.
  • There will be no exam on 7th, 13th, 14th and 15th August 2017.
  • SSC CGLE will be conducted in 4 stages: Tier-1, Tier- 2, Tier– 3 and Tier– 4.
  • Candidates who crack the first stage exam will be invited for the next round.
  • This exam comprise of a computer based examination for Tier-I and Tier-II (Paper-I to IV).
  • Written descriptive examination for Tier-III and CPT/DEST/Document verification for Tier-IV.
  • Questions in Paper:

    • Paper-I will be of 10th standard level
    • Paper-II of level
    • Paper-III of graduation level
  • Selected candidates for appointment are liable to serve anyplace in India.
  • SSC received 30, 26, 598 online applications for the CGL tier 1 exam.

Major Changes in SSC CGL 2017 Pattern:

Commission introduced major changes in SSC CGL 2017 pattern and selection procedure.

  • Reducing exam time for Tier-1 to 60 minutes from 75 minutes.
  • New posts have been introduced: Post of Assistant Accounts Officer (Post code – $ and Grade Pay – 4800) in Department of Indian Audits & Accounts under CAG this year.
