Eligibility Criteria for SSC JE 2019

The candidates should read the SSC JE Eligibility Criteria 2016 provided here before applying for SSC JE 2016. The candidates who do fulfil the eligibility criteria of SSC will be rejected from the recruitment process.

Nationality

A candidate must be an Indian citizen or anyone of the following:

  1. Subject of Nepal

  2. Subject of Bhutan

  3. Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before 1 January 1962 to permanently settle in India

  4. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.

Age

  • 18 -27 years for Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical) in CPWD and Department of Posts.

  • Not exceeding 30 years for Junior Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical) in MES.

  • Upto 32 years for junior Engineers (Civil & Mechanical) in CWC.

  • Not exceeding 30 years for Junior Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Electrical &Mechanical) in Border Roads Organisation (BRO) of Ministry of Defence.

Three years Diploma or equivalent in civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an institution recognized by the central Government or State Government

3.

(a) Junior Engineer, Border Roads Organization, Ministry of Defense

(b) Junior Engineer (Electrical and Mechanical), Border Road Organization, Ministry of Defense.

JE (Civil)

Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University or Institute.

Desirable

Two years working experience in the field of civil construction in monitoring and executive of projects.

(b) JE (Electrical & Mechanical)

Three years Diploma in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) from a recognized universities.

Desirable.

Two years working experience in the field of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering in the area of construction in monitoring and executive of projects.

(a) Junior Engineer (Civil), MES

(c) Junior Engineer, MES

Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.

OR,

Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute or University or Board

Two years’ experience in Planning, Execution and maintenance of Civil Engineering works. Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.

Three years diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute or University or Board and

Two years’ experience in Planning, Execution and maintenance of electrical or Mechanical Engineering works.

3 years Diploma in Civil engineering from a recognized institute/University/Board or equivalent

OR

Passed Intermediate examination in Building and Quantity Surveying Sub Divisional – II of the institute of Surveyors.

5.

Junior Engineer (Civil & Mechanical), CWC and Farakka Barrage.

Degree or Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
