The Inlaks Foundation is an approved charitable organization under the Charity Commissioners of the United Kingdom. It became a Tax Exempt Private Operating Foundation in USA in the year 1983. The Inlaks Foundation Music Arts Awards is one among various scholarships that it provides. The main aim of the Inlaks Foundation Music Awards is to spot marvelous and talented Indian musicians and provide them monetary help in order to enable them reach great heights in Indian classical music by remaining within the country and give scholarships to these students to pursue their studies or carry on research work outside India.

Eligibility Criteria for the Inlaks Foundation Music Awards

The eligibility criteria for the Inlaks Foundation Music Awards are stated below:

  • The applicant must has outstanding musical talent recognized by appropriate authority.
  • The applicant must be below 30 years of age as on the 1st July.
  • The applicant must be capable of transcending all boundaries in the field of Indian classical music.
  • The candidate must be referred by an exponent in Indian Classical Music and receive uninterrupted guidance and performance appraisal from the guru.

Duration of the Inlaks Foundation Music Awards

Inlaks Foundation Music Awards are given out for a time period of 1 year to 2 young Indian musicians.

Application Procedure

The following documents quoted below are required to be sent to the Inlaks Foundation while applying for a scholarship for Music. Applications, duly typed should be sent between the 1st of September to the 30th of November of a particular year. Last date of collection of application forms is 15th April.

  • Curriculum Vitae.
  • Passport Size Photograph.
  • Written proposal of about 450 words stating how the applicant proposes to use the proceeds of the scholarship.

Value of Scholarships

A monthly grant of β‚Ή 5000/-for a year is awarded by the Inlaks Foundation under this scheme.
