UNESCO-LOreal Co-Sponsored Fellowship
The UNESCO-L'Oreal co-sponsored Fellowships for Young Women in Life Sciences is a Fellowship program for young professionals. UNESCO operates these Fellowship programs from its headquarters in Paris under the Young Professionals Program (YPP) which is a very critical and innovative program.
Under its Fellowships Program, UNESCO confers upon deserving candidates a number of awards and fellowships and grants financial helps with an aim of study and travel.
The UNESCO Fellowships Program has an objective to develop human resources in keeping with its scheduled plans and programs in the important and sensitive areas in which it functions. The Co-sponsored Fellowship Programs of UNESCO are awarded by entering into an agreement with interested parties.
The UNESCO-L'Oreal Co-Sponsored Fellowship for Young Women in Life Sciences has been announced by the US National Commission. This Fellowship program offers international as well as American Fellowship Program.
The eligibility criteria for the scholarships are stated below:
Awarded to 15 young women research scholars at the doctoral and postdoctoral level.
Research projects by these women should have been undertaken outside their own country.
Fellowships are awarded to 3 Fellows from Africa.
Arabian States, Asia & Pacific, Europe & North America.
Latin America and the Caribbean states.
The Fellowships are awarded for a maximum time period of 2 years.
Value of Scholarships
Amount of financial help under the Fellowship is a maximum of 40, 000 USD.
