  • Receive rain from trade winds all time
  • Favorable for habitation
  • Has severe tropical cyclones

  • Deciduous – dry period & shed leaves
  • In heavy rainfall – forest – open and less luxuriant than equatorial
  • Summer – thorny scrub or savanna – scattered tree & tall grass
