Uranium

  • India produces only 2 % of world uranium.

Thorium

  • Also derived from monazite which contains 10 % thoria and 0.3 % Urania.
  • It is found in Kerala, Bihar, Tamilnadu and Rajasthan.

Beryllium Oxide

  • It is used as moderator in nuclear reactors.

Lithium

  • Found in spodumene and lepodolite.
  • In Bihar and Bastar (M. P) .

  • Found in Kerala, Ranchi and Hazaribagh.
