Suman Deep Vidyapith was set up with an aim to provide the most basic knowledge to the localites, thereby creating employment opportunities and upgrading the social lifestyle of the localites of the village near Baroda in Gujarat. The institute's origin is indebted to Mansukhlal Shah, a far-sighted visionary and philanthropist. He is also the founder chairman of K M Shah Charitable Trust (KMSCT) which received its name from Shri Kanjibhai Manjibhai Shah, the father of Mr. Mansukhlal Shah. It has been bestowed upon with a status of deemed university.

Courses at Suman Deep Vidyapith, Gujarat

  • Medicine-Doctoral program in Physiology, MBBS and several Paramedical Courses are available in the institute.

  • Dental-For dental education, undergraduate, post graduate program and even Dental Mechanics courses are available which can be opted for:

  • Physiotherapy-In the field of physiotherapy, courses of Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Master of Physiotherapy are offered.

  • Pharmacy-The candidates can pursue the courses of Bachelor of Dental Pharmacy, Master of Pharmacy or Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Science.

  • Nursing-Bachelor of Science program in Nursing is available for the candidates interested in Nursing.

  • Library & Info. Science-The institute also offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses including Post Graduate Diploma in Library Automation and Networking, Master of Philosophy in Library and Information Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Library and Information Science.

  • Management-Professional courses of BBA and MBA are also available.

Admission Details in 2008 − 09

  • For B. B. A course and M. B. A program, application forms need to be returned, duly filled by 6th June 2008 and 26th May, 2008 respectively.

  • Minimum requirement for admission to a certificate course in dental mechanics at the institute requires a candidate who is a 10 + 2 pass-out in science stream.

  • Entrance examination for admission to MBBS and BDS course names AICET is undertaken, which for 2008 will be held on 15th June, 2008. To take up the AICET exam, the candidate should be a Class XII pass-out with PCB as subjects. Application form is to be filled up and such completed application forms for AICET 2008 should be submitted to University office by 12th May, 2008. Late submission attracts a late fine of Rs. 500.
