The Union public service commission (UPSC) will organize the Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service Examination 2020 or UPSC IES/ISS 2020. The selected candidates can be placed in any government organization anywhere in the country.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Nationality:
  • The candidates with the following nationality can apply.
  • A citizen of India
  • A subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with an intention to permanently settle here.
  • An Indian origin person migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Srilanka or East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Ethiopia and Zaire or from Vietnam.

Age Limit:

  • The age of a candidate should be between 21 to 30 years. (Relaxation in upper age will be given to the candidates from reserved categories)
  • Educational Qualification:
  • For Indian Economic Service:
  • The candidate must possess a PG degree in Business Economics/Economics/Econometrics/Applied Economics.
  • For Indian Statistical Service:
  • The aspirant must have a Bachelor’s degree in mathematical statistics/statistics/applied statistics.

Application Fee:

  • The application form will not be considered valid unless the candidate pays the prescribed application fee. The application fee for UPSC IES/ISS 2020 exam is given below:
  • For Male candidates from General/OBC categories: Rs. 200/-
  • For Female/SC/ST/PwBD candidates: Nil (Exempted from the application fee)

Mode of payment:

  • The candidates can pay the application fee using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card or SBI internet banking.
  • The aspirants can also pay the application fee by cash at any branch of SBI using Pay-in-slip.

Exam Pattern:

  • The complete recruitment process into two parts
  • Written Examination – 1000 Marks
  • Interview/Viva Voice – 200 Marks
