National Testing Agency (NTA) to Conduct JEE Main, NEET Exams Twice from Next Year(Download PDF)

For the first time in history of competitive examinations, the JEE (Main) and NEET (UG) will be conducted twice before admissions in the next academic session. Syllabus and the pattern of question paper would remain the same.

  • Apart from NEET and JEE Main, NTA will also conduct:
  1. National Eligibility Test (NET),
  2. Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) exams from now on.

Highlights:

  • Giving an opportunity to student to bring out his/her best and reducing stress.
  • This gives a choice to the students.
  • Sitting in both the tests will not be compulsory.
  • Two tests [each for JEE (Main) & NEET (UG) ] will be associated using:
  1. psychometric methods,
  2. standardisation techniques
  3. best of the equated scores will be used for the admissions.
  • Exam conducted in online (computer based) mode only. (Starting from next exam UGC - NET exam)
  • All the tests [UGC - NET (December), JEE (Main) & NEET (UG) ] will be conducted in multiple sittings.
  • Candidate will have an option of dates to choose from.
  • These examinations will use highly secured IT software.
  • This will ensure no leakage s and other malpractices.
  • NTA will establish a network of test practice centres for students of rural areas.
  • So, that everyone will have an opportunity to practice before the exam.
  • Any student can use the facility free of charge, starting from 3rd week of August.
  • Examinations will be held in existing number of languages.
